Winfred Young is a results-driven manager with an impressive track record of providing technical solutions.
Mr. Young, a North Carolina native, completed his military training as a Nondestructive Inspection Journeyman in the U. S. Air Force in 2001. Upon his honorable discharge from the Air Force he returned back to N.C. to continue his education goals. In 2004, Mr. Young obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering at North Carolina A& T State University with honors.
Since 2005 Mr. Young has managed the Department of Transportation’s Field Report Notation Project for N.E.T. In accordance with the Early Warning Reporting (EWR) provision of the Transportation Recall Enhancement, Accountability and Documentation (TREAD) Act, vehicle manufacturers are required to send documents to the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) that could provide an early warning of a potential safety issue. Mr. Young currently manages a team of Document Analysts responsible for reviewing electronic Auto Safety/Accident Reports for the Department of Transportation. In doing so he has eliminated over 265,000 back logged reports within nine months of project inception.
In addition Mr. Young has managed Information Technology projects for other government agencies as well as commercial clients such as: Naval Research Laboratory (NRL), General Dynamics, the Executive Leadership Council, and the Army National Guard. Mr. Young serves as Project Manager on these projects, providing technical oversight, meeting with customer, and presenting innovative strategies and initiate creative approaches to implement projects in the most efficient and cost effective manner possible.
